Kimberly did some minor alterations for my wedding gown this summer. She did a perfect job! The fabric of my dress was super delicate chiffon with lots of layers - the hem she did for me was flawless. She also fixed the neckline and repositioned some scratchy sequins. My dress fit perfectly and was comfortable all night. Kimberly is detail oriented and she was friendly, kind and lovely to chat with while doing all the pinning. The dress was done on time and within my budget. Thank you Kimberly!

Fantastic experience. I bought my wedding dress online while having had a few glasses of wine. Thanks to my wine goggles’ suggestion I ordered the largest size on the website though I’m a size 14 so needless to say, I was swimming in my dress. Kimberly came recommended by a friend of mine so I took the chance and couldn’t have been happier with the results. Kimberly had to ultimately reconstruct a wedding dress!! It turned out FANTASTIC. I would recommend Kimberly to anyone that needs alterations.

We brought my moms MOB dress as well as two bridesmaid dresses to be altered. My moms dress she took in too much under the armpit and made the seam uneven when putting back together so dress now pulls in the front and back. She also took in one hip and forgot the other. One bridesmaid dress was too big in the chest after almost 200 of alterations it fit pretty much the same and still needed to be taken in. The other bridesmaid dress that only needed to be hemmed is okay. She was also asked to keep the extra fabric from hemming the bridesmaid dresses. Upon pick up she said she forgot and threw them away.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Kim. I was pretty nervous at the prospect of handing over my wedding dress to someone and even more nervous after hearing a few horror stories of brides not getting the correct alterations done to their dresses before their weddings. All of my fears melted away the minute I met Kim at her workshop in Merrickville. Talking to her felt like conversing with a second mother or favorite aunt – a beautiful blend of familiarity and kindness, somebody whose opinion you value and trust. Kim went above and beyond with my alterations including adding a bustle, letting out the hips, hemming the dress and taking in the bust. We ran into issues with the boning in my dress and Kim would not rest until we got it to sit correctly on my body. She really doesn’t charge enough for the amazing work she does. The hardest part was when my alterations were completed and I knew I would no longer be seeing her on a regular basis again! If you’re considering booking dress alterations, stop hesitating and book Kim immediately – she’s an amazing seamstress and will do everything she can to make you look and feel amazing for your wedding day.

Kimberley did alterations for my wedding dress and I'm extremely pleased with the results. I appreciated her attention to detail and felt very at ease because of her confidence and her obvious experience working with tulle and satin etc. She even coffee-dyed the eyelet hoops she replaced on my dress so they would match the off-white colour of the rest of the material. I highly recommend Kimberley for bridal alterations: I felt like Cinderella and she was my fairy godmother! Thank you Kimberley for making this part of wedding preparation so enjoyable!
