We stayed at the Trenanthia Cottage and we had an absolute blast. Our daughter Luna was in hot tub heaven. She designated every day as a “spa day”. Running to and fro from hot tub, to sauna, and back again. Nights were spent by the fire, sipping hot chocolate, and watching movies from the large DVD selection! Days were spent outside enjoying the MANY activities that are offered at this winter wonderland. Cupboards are labeled so you don’t need to guess where anything is, everything was very well thought out, and communication was on point. Unfortunately, the lake was a bit slushy, so we didn’t get to enjoy the ice rink they maintain each year, but we hope to in the future! Looking forward to booking again soon, and would consider and of the 3 cottages they own when we do! Loved the cottage as a winter cottage, but also can only imagine how great it is during the summer with the volleyball nets and dips in the lake.... Can’t wait to find out!

Trenanthia Cottage was exactly as I had hoped it would be... super fun, comfy and cozy. Communication is incredible and every last detail is thought of. We arrived to the cutest welcome sign, check in was a breeze, and the entire place was just as pictured. This was the perfect location for a girls getaway, that included hot tubbing, karaoke, laughter and fun. Not to mention the most incredible sunsets ever! We are already looking for a date to come back!
My family and I stayed here in November for a few days and absolutely loved it! It is so spacious, and we greatly enjoyed the 2 fireplaces.
My husband, son, father and I stayed here for 5 days in the fall for the first time. We absolutely loved it! The “cottage” is huge, bigger than our home, and it’s like we had two separate wings for bedrooms/bathrooms, and then the shared space for kitchen, dining room, and 2 living rooms. It unfortunately rained quite a bit while we were there so we didn’t get to use all of the outdoor amenities, but did love the hot tub and skee ball! We fished off the dock daily and caught SO many sunfish! Having the labelled cupboards in the kitchen was so helpful too! The directions were great and the cottage was very easy to find. Gravenhurst was a quick drive away and we ran into town a few times (grocery store, brewery, coffee shop). Any questions we had were answered very quickly as well, and the vacation was very reasonably priced. We all enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to returning, hopefully this year!
We stayed at the Woody cottage and I can tell you you will NEVER be bored during your stay. You've got the lake, fire pit, board games/puzzles, pool table, hot tub, etc. And the indoor wood stove fireplace saved us when the temp dropped!! If you're looking for a family friendly/cozy environment I'd definitely recommend this place. It's also close to the city which was a huge bonus for us. Amanda & Mel were super accommodating and responsive to any of my questions/concerns. Great people.
The “Woody” cottage is about family. Three generations of my family spent four fabulous days laughing, enjoying nature and playing games. All three levels of the cottage had something fun for everyone. The nostalgic pinball machine, pool table and air hockey brought out my family’s competitiveness. Amanda and Mel were both professional and quick to respond to any inquires. As we had such a wonderful experience, we’ve book again for next year.
My friends and I spent the weekend here and boy was it ever fun! Amanda and Mel are both incredibly helpful, they were quick to reply and always available to answer questions leading up to, and at the cottage. There were endless activities and things to do. The bay where the cottage is located is perfect, canoes are provided to go for a little ride as well. The beach volleyball court provides hours of fun on a hot sunny day. The cottage was also extremely clean. I definitely recommend this cottage to any group and can guarantee that you will have a fantastic time!
Fantastic cottage! Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Tons of space and a great kitchen. We had kids ranging in age from 1 to 15 and there was something fun for all of them. Owner is a pleasure to deal with and very responsive. I would highly recommend.
