Really wonderful place; especially during a long and cold February when you need a new hobby. It out first time cross country skiing and the staff made it super easy to get equipment and get on the trails with minimal contact. The trails farther into the system were as well maintained as any and had far fewer people on them. Overall a great mix of easy trails to get the movements down and long routes for hours of gliding.

I’ve been a member of KNSC for a number of years. What keeps me coming back is the variety of trails for skate, classic, backcountry, and snowshoe. The grooming is world-class, and it’s not very far away from Peterborough!
Great trails. Even when parking is full, you don't feel like the trails are crowded. They are well maintained. I can't wait for the chalets to be open again to get the full experience! Bring a pocket full of birdseed. The birds expect a feeding when you arrive at the little chalets. They will land on your hand. It's amazing.
Kawartha Nordic is amazing. I love the fact that I can go night skiing (just need a headlamp for the trails). There is a short track that is lit up. The chalet is simple, but provides a great place to warm up. I love how the trails interconnect so you can ski the perfect length and difficulty. Membership rates are incredibly reasonable.
Beautiful, well-maintained trails in a really nice part of the province.
