Servers were lovely but the AM cooks can’t poach an egg or cook beans. Hard yolk in one egg soft in the other. Hash browns are saturated with oil and barely fluffy, they almost look grey. All in all the best thing about my breakfast was the sliced tomato with salt and pepper and my server.

Don't order the Small Caesar Salad unless you want to be price gouged. Was there yesterday evening and I ordered an appetizer Caesar salad along with my meal, which I guess on their menu is a \Small Caesar Salad\. I saw the price was 8.99 but I figured I would get a decent size salad for that price. Wrong. The smallest ever bowl of salad came, but at the time I assumed well it must be a smaller size and they won't charge me 9 for it. I didn't think to take a picture, but it was less than handful of lettuce so 4-5 bites total for 9. The bill came though and yep they actually charged me 9 for that tiny amount of food. Only comparison I can make is the serving was about 1/5th of the size of a caesar salad from Pizza Pizza (who charges 5.99, and you can add Chicken to it even for 7.29) I understand restaurants mark up, I understand Zak's isn't the cheapest place to eat. I understand especially during COVID restaurants are struggling, BUT there is a line where if you cross that with the insane markup price for what you are giving your customer....it becomes disrespectful to your customers. This is one of those times. If it hadn't been for that disrespectful markup price on the small caesar for the serving you get, then I would have given them 4 stars at least. Their food is great, their servers are super nice and friendly, but yeah that caesar salad for 9...I am not usually shocked by much, but that shocked the hell out of me. Never seen something that overpriced for what you get in my recent years.
I give this a four star rating because of the excellent service. The waitress was super friendly and accommodating. My eggs benny were overcooked, and when I asked her about it, she confirmed it shouldn't have been served that way. She offered to have it remade, but I don't like food waste, so I opted to continue to eat it (it wasn't bad, just overcooked). When the bill came, she had comped it from the total. I insisted on paying, but she humbly declined, so I left what I would've paid as her tip. Thank you for your hospitality.
Best breakfast spot in Kanata. Massive portions so you can usually get two meals out of it. I always order the breakfast burrito or pancakes with a side of homie poutine, their breakfast club sandwich is also top notch. The milkshakes are also clutch and massive.
They have great offers and also have veggie options. The buffalo cauliflower wrap was awesome. I didn't order the milkshake but i have in the past and it's a must try. Thank you!
