Amazing store. Friendly personable owner. Has been there for 20 years. Narrow aisles but the Lionel assortment is inspiring.

From my experience anyone who responds to clients in such an aggressive manner is pompous. Every business I have seen react in this method has declared bankruptcy shortly thereafter. This is sad. I advise anyone to purchase elsewhere, buy from amazon if you must, however avoid this Poor client oriented business —— Response to Hugh (Owner) It is clear that you will not be earning any new customers if you discriminate and refuse to assist potential clients.

This is a gem of a store for any train fanatic. This small store is so jam packed with goodies you have to dig in to find buried treasures. This is really fun to do and even encouraged by Hugh who will fill you in with tons of historic details on what you are buying and how to use it. If you are an avid high end train collector or just want a train under the Christmas tree you are sure to find what you are looking for. Knowledgeable, friendly staff, they also do repairs.

Not an avid collector or train person, mostly something to pass the time. I usually purchased HO Scale gear but this year I felt it wasn't right for the Christmas tree so decided to look into the Lionel line as its a bit more \scaled\ for a tree and its not G which is more toyish. Anyways, store is packed with product which is great, and for those not use to \Hobby Stores\ all the specialized ones I've visited were all like this, packed, things everywhere, because there's so much, and everyone lacks room, you just have a lot of stuff everywhere, its normal, which I love because you can look around and discover things. He has plenty in stock, the only thing he didn't have was a controller but this close to Christmas its on me for not planning better. Also, to the lady who was mad he declined selling product to because you didn't buy there, understand these are not toys, its a \Hobby shop\, owners of these stores have a list of clients/customers they need to keep happy, otherwise they go elsewhere, so him deciding to \service\ or eserve\ stock for his own customers again is 100% normal, may not seem nice but I recall being declined at a store because I didn't purchase from them, their option was to purchase a whole pre built track set and then I could purchase extra track. It sucks, but its not as common, so the owners are picky, they're ALL LIKE THIS. The owner is great, very informative, friendly and helpful. I have zero complaints, great shop, lots of stock, the staff are great! His displays has me wanting to do the same in the basement of my house.

Went in, and was greeted to a very cluttered store. Great stock, however, but I wish there was more S Gauge product. Being the only train-dedicated store, however, it has been a decent option for shopping. Unsure of the comments relating to the owner, however. Never had an issue with him.
