Not an avid collector or train person, mostly something to pass the time. I usually purchased HO Scale gear but this year I felt it wasn't right for the Christmas tree so decided to look into the Lionel line as its a bit more \scaled\ for a tree and its not G which is more toyish. Anyways, store is packed with product which is great, and for those not use to \Hobby Stores\ all the specialized ones I've visited were all like this, packed, things everywhere, because there's so much, and everyone lacks room, you just have a lot of stuff everywhere, its normal, which I love because you can look around and discover things. He has plenty in stock, the only thing he didn't have was a controller but this close to Christmas its on me for not planning better. Also, to the lady who was mad he declined selling product to because you didn't buy there, understand these are not toys, its a \Hobby shop\, owners of these stores have a list of clients/customers they need to keep happy, otherwise they go elsewhere, so him deciding to \service\ or
eserve\ stock for his own customers again is 100% normal, may not seem nice but I recall being declined at a store because I didn't purchase from them, their option was to purchase a whole pre built track set and then I could purchase extra track. It sucks, but its not as common, so the owners are picky, they're ALL LIKE THIS. The owner is great, very informative, friendly and helpful. I have zero complaints, great shop, lots of stock, the staff are great! His displays has me wanting to do the same in the basement of my house.
