Nakiska has been a TRUE LIFE SAVER this year with Covid19 forcing the closure of most activities for families this year. Located such a short distance from Calgary it sure doesn't take much time to zip out there and back during the same day. With a season's pass it is so efficient to just grab your skis and step into the main area and ski off to either the Olympic or Silver chairlift. The snow is generally great here and the lodge is fully open with Starbucks coffee and different foods to give you fuel for more skiing. Parking can sometimes be an issue but more often than not it is satisfactory. A little PRO TIP arrive at 11/11:30am and you will likely grab one of the better parking spots because the early morning skiers have left. The lines on the hill are far shorter in the afternoon too. Even the lessons here are great for all ages and experience levels. I highly recommend this for families with small children or just learning to ski.

Nakiska is always great. Close to Calgary normally not busy (except in covid times) and affordable. Rip some big turns on the big hill!

Nakiska is very good if you know what you expect, a hill with nice wide open runs for cruising. It's a great place to get laps in on the groomers, but it's not a big resort hill with a lot of varied terrain. A decent amount of chairs move people uphill and keep lineups to a minimum.

Bustling resort with friendly teachers and slightly dated facilities and restaurant. But a great day out nonetheless and would definitely recommend it to beginners like us, and clearly a draw for those more experienced we looks at enviously.

Great runs. Very nice chair lifts. Attendants were friendly and helpful with mask reminders. Will gladly come again.

This is a good place whether you are a beginner or an expert. For beginners, they have Magic Carpet area which was free earlier. But I guess due to Covid-19, to restrict the number of people, they have put a 10 fee per person. They have inside cafeteria where you can sit, eat your home food or buy from there. Their Deli has a veg menu as well, though it's very limited. They allow you to stop your car for roughly 10 minutes at the entrance to allow you to unload stuff and then you can go and park in their giant parking lot which is just 2 minutes away. They even have a rental/repair shop. We got our skies repaired but then it took them a few days to fix those. They have a ski school as well. We can see a number of instructors teaching different age kids. They teach snowboarding as well. usually they have a lot of staff everywhere in the ground to help visitors. This time I even saw a paramedic with a dog. Overall a good place to learn and practice skiing.

First time visiting this mountain and it was a great experience. Fun tree runs and great groomers.

Great for new skiers like my kids. It has a decent sized bunny slope with magic carpet lifts, and the easiest chairlift serves multiple easy runs. Higher up, the snow quality hasn't been as good as other ski resorts the handful of times I've been here.
