Was easy to check in late! Room was clean and had a microwave and coffee pot and fridge. The view is amazing and it's a lovely property. Owners were also very pleasant. Would stay again and recommend.
Worst place ever the older gentle man is a great person had a few chats with him great person he is the owner his wife on the other hand very rude and not very nice person the room I had taps on the sink spray water everywhere and not updated at all I would never stay in that place ever again avoid it nothing there but a rundown poorly run shack
Clean, comfortable, affordable and beautiful grounds. The sunrise view over the river is breathtaking. The staff are friendly and inviting. Highly recommended
If I could give it a 0 I would...we just drove all night and decided to stay here as I saw reviews online and pulled into this town and it was super cute. We were really excited and pulled into the parking lot asked the cleaning lady where the main office and she said "it says open right there cant you see" The owner came out and she started yelling at us in front of her and wouldn't stop saying we were rude first and the owner went back inside. My spouse said "the cleaning said that's my mother" We shouted we were going to stay here and had plans to have another group meet us there which was 100% true, but we're definitely finding another place. This was my first time in Ontario and it was the worst impression. I hope everyone else is sane
Beautiful view. Room was a bit outdated but did the job. Came down to visit my boyfriend as his baby and I hadn’t seen him in two weeks due to his work. Thought it would’ve been fine as every other hotel had no problem with us visiting for a night previously. Owner came into the room at around 8:40am despite me yelling “hello” to get his attention and once he noticed we we’re in there he was asking why we were there and that no one told him, and his tone was quite rude and accusatory. I contacted my boyfriend because usually at any other place checkout is at around 11am, but they also weren’t sure if they were coming back to check out and that they would later if they didn’t need to stay. Again, usually isn’t a problem at any other place and it’s not on me that they didn’t come to the owner to let him know. As I was leaving the owner (the older man) came out to scold me and treat me as though I’m a criminal “sneaking in” (he said that a lot in regard to me visiting) and was not kind in his explanation at all. I understand with Covid that he should have been told that I was there, and that’s our mistake. But we didn’t know the rules and was never told. The owner threatened that he was going to call the cops and have my car towed over this. I’m a young mom that made a simple mistake and he was treating me like scum that was going to destroy his business and cause mischief. I’m sure they’ll reply to this saying I was giving attitude, but hey, you get what you give. I paid the extra 10 he wanted for spending the night and left. Don’t stay here unless you want to be berated and disrespected by the owner for making a small mistake. The whole situation could have been approached differently and I would have been kind about it. Treat anyone that comes on the property with respect next time even if they made a mistake.

We had such a good experience in the hotel, very kind people. And the view was beautiful.
