The Jasper Visitor Information Centre attracted our attention as soon as we emerged from the Jasper Rail Station. It is located in a nice park like compound opposite the Rail Station. It is housed in a very beautifully designed rustic style building with many layers of red tiled sloping roofs with peaks at different levels. It is constructed from locally sourced materials. No two doors or windows look the same. It has been designated as a National Historic Site of Canada. We went to the Information Centre to find out about the various hikes and trekking routes, as well as the popular places to visit. The staff were friendly and helped us out by offering us printed maps of the town and surroundings. Since we were in Jasper for a very short time they advised us to do a ride on the Sky Tram as the best option.

This is one of the better visitor's centers we've been to. There is a small gift shop that was mostly uninteresting. There's also a huge wall of pamphlets about things to do in the area. The highlight was the person we talked to about hiking in the area. She had great info and recommendations and validated what we had read online. She was incredibly friendly too. It's conveniently located right in downtown Jasper. The one downside is that it's pretty crowded during the day. If you're looking for any information on the area, definitely come here.

The staff here is friendly. But we're surprise that she don't know where is Goat Lick. We later find the Goats & Glaciers Viewpoint by ourselves (about 10 minutes drive to the south from Athabasca Falls along 93, the parking area is on your right) and confirm they're actually the same place with different names. On Parks Canada website, I can actually find both names. Wish the staff can help the other tourists to locate this viewpoint in the future.

Friendly staff, lots of info! There are tablets available to book your own things (campsite, trips,....) or ask the staff to help you out. We got some 'local favorites' and tried the suggested hike - which was great! There is Wi-Fi, but it's limit and not very stable (due to the many people who try to use it?)
