IMO this is the only place to buy good quality paint and I have been and will be a long time customer as I don't know of a better brand that I'd be willing to try. That said I rented a paint sprayer as I wanted to do about 20 doors. I was given next to no instruction except on how to clean it. Nothing regarding flow rates etc. I know enough to do light coats and did that except that the trigger stuck open several times causing horrible runs that I could not control. Also the paint 'burped' out a couple of times causing blotching and globs on some doors. The end result is that I have to hire a pro to refinish 8 of the doors at my expense and I get to sand and re-paint the other doors with a roller. A big waste of money and time on my part. When I was asked how it went when I returned the sprayer I said it went horribly and that some of my doors are ruined and I had to hire someone to fix as the sprayer stuck open. I got a sympathetic 'that's too bad'. I placed the sprayer aside and nothing more was said or done. They just watched me walk out the door. Update: Darryl called and we spoke about my issue. He took ownership of the problem as they had inadvertently provided me with the wrong spray nozzle that shot out too much paint. He took care of the rental and provided some other support for which I was grateful. All in all he tried to make the best of a bad situation and really what more can I ask for as a customer. They will continue to get my business in the future as they have shown me that they care about their customers.

It has been a few years since I've done a paint project, but when I do I come here. The service is excellent and the staff really know their stuff. Very helpful!
The new hobby guys hours seemed to have improved compared to the last one
So called about a month ago about an item was told he was out on break and would call me back. He did NOT I then call back next day and get to speak to someone he puts me on hold for 10 minutes then it hangs up I call back and I'm told hes not available. Now a few weeks later I call in and the person who they say I need to speak with just stepped out and of course again no call back. Just very poor service here. I guess when a few coworkers said going in store here was not a good choice they were not lieing because calling in the service is below the bottom of barrel unfortunately.
