This is the most difficult review I've had to write. I've ALWAYS been a huge fan of John Street Diner, especially for the budget friendly pricing and excellent service. And while those two still seems to be the constant, the Food was terrible. The home fries were SALTY and had a burnt taste to them. While the eggs were cooked as we asked, the ham and peameal had absolutely no flavor. And to be frank.. eggs and meats all tasted the same. As if they were cooked on the same grill top (with it being cleaned). We'll be taking a break from here.

You probably won't get a better breakfast for the price anywhere. A hidden gem with a very pleasant owner. Sometimes you get a good portion but the quality is poor. Other times you get good food but it's pricey and there's not enough to satisfy you. Rarely do you get quality with quantity. You do here.
This is one of my regular weekend breakfast spots. The food, ranging from omelettes to french toast to eggs benny to so much more, is delicious, and also well-priced. The service is great (i.e. staff is friendly, food arrives on time, et cetera). I'm pretty much always guaranteed a good meal, and a sunny start to my day
Delicious breakfast everytime. We love the chicken sandwich and perogie breakfast. We have dinned in and ordered takeout. Both are great. Place is clean and staff work efficiently. Food comes out at a reasonable time and taste like it is made to order.
Great spot for a diner style breakfast. I tried the perogi breakfast special and it was A LOT of food. You absolutely get your money's worth here.
