I found an item online, called the burnaby location and was politely told that I could \definitely be helped\ with regards to questions on local availability etc. When I indicated the purchase would be for personal use i was told i couldnt be helped as they dont sell for that purpose. It was also explained that i could not make online purchases as i am not a business. In the past i made purchases at acklands periodically for either business or personal use with no questions asked. Within 5 minutes I procured the item on AMAZON

One star rating is way more than it was supposed to be. Terrible experience with this shop counter guy at 2:30PM Oct. 23, 2020. I inquired about the glue product, which I did some research on their website Before dropping by. While it looked like they didn't know their own products and the only excuse was he was not an 'expert'. ' Just tell me what you want' this was the main words I got. After I explained to him, this service person said I think you should go somewhere else. I am wondering if his boss cares about this. Maybe they sell nothing.
I ordered a small order of grocery bags and it was as promised on time. However, the product was incorrectly displayed on the website. Within a day, I received a call from Samatha on their RMA team who went above and beyond to try to remedy the situation. She worked quickly and decisively to determine whether she could find a suitable replacement for the product. Unfortunately, they were unable to find the product in all of Canada. I am giving them 5 stars for the great and efficient service that I got both in the Burnaby store and by the service excellent of Samantha on the phone. If this is the way these guys treat a small guest customer, that's incredible. Stellar customer service and look forward to using you as a source for other goods in the future.
Had an order for some hardware cloth, which wasn't in stock. Prices are far cheaper than the big box stores for the same products. They were clear from the order date when the item would be ready for pick up. The hardware cloth arrived 2 days earlier than the estimated date. I opted for curbside pick up, which was really just going to the door, telling the employee the order number and them bringing it to a table at the door. Everything went smoothly and as expected. No complaints, glad to have this resource available!
