Majestic little border town with stunning mountain views. Poor traffic control, especially in the downtown area. It’s quite congested. I was moved by the Veteran memorial Golden has installed; it was touching to see current mementos left in the Veterans’ honour. Wonderful walking park with lots of photo opportunities. I would absolutely recommend making a stop here on any Hwy 1 adventures this far West.

Nice place, beautiful surroundings, kind people. Only 4/5 stars because I didn't have a car, so it's hard to go outside the town since there is no public transport. But this doesn't have to keep you away from this beautiful little city!
We like the Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge. However, we didn't see much of the town due to the brief stay. Wished there was more dining options, too. But the town is surrounded by majestic mountains!
One of the most picturesque highway in BC. The undulating road, deep green surroundings and mind blowing scenery of mountains make it a perfect trip for nature loving individuals with wanderlust. You can creat poetry, let your imagination go wild for painting and spend hours on pondering over the awesome gifts of Mother Nature!!!
