Awfully slow service. Stood in line for 10 minutes on a Friday around 4 and they only had 1 cashier open. Never going there again. Dollarama is the best dollar store

I went to buy snacks for my hospital to-go bag for us for my pregnant wife, and found all the drinks and candy we wanted for snacks. Store was nearly empty, staff very helpful, and great service.
They have all the dollartree stuff. It's just a super dirty store.
In 2016, I was visiting this store with my group home staff that I was placed in because of home issues. I have very severe mental health issues and I was constantly self harming. Obviously, they had to take what blades I had away and I was getting desperate. When we went to this Dollar Tree, I was intent on stealing razors so I could cut myself because I had no money. I was caught and from there, I was humiliated by an older woman who worked there. She started yelling at me and was ushering me out of the store in front of everyone, telling me I was no longer allowed in the establishment. I was 15 at the time and I come from a home with severe abuse and neglect. I understand that what I attempted to do was wrong and I understand that I deserved a consequence for what I tried to do but that was absolutely not necessary. Being publicly humiliated after going through something so traumatic as to be forcefully taken from my home against my will has haunted me ever since. It is now 2020 and I cannot even look at that store. I should not have been treated so aggressively for trying to take plastic razors worth less than a dollar (which in the end, failed). I will never go to this store again, it holds too many bad memories. I did stop ever trying to steal thanks to this incident but it has only aided in my self harm getting worse. I still think about this every time I see a Dollar Tree.
The most disgusting Dollar Tree....well in fact the mist disgusting store I've ever been in Ottawa. The place is so dirty.... the floors are FILTHY..... ITS unorganized....its like a hoarders mess ..... who is the manager here.... this store isnt even in the hood and it's a complete disgrace. I left after 2 mins . No sanitizing station either.... really needs to be shut down....a complete disinfectant....and the floors need to be stripped down and waxed ....not to mention the complete utter disorganization if this store. Horrible.
