The best tasting food in the city - it is simply outstanding. Have been eating here for 10 years and never disappointed. For those that like seriously spicy food - this restaurant can deliver.

Amazing vegan friendly restaurant. Item #V5, the Chef's Special has the best tofu I've ever tasted. Just make sure to say you want the fried rice without egg if you get it.

We really love Chahaya Malaysia! It is definitely a frequent choice for take out night! The service is exceptional along with its amazing food. The menu is extensive but the servers are able to offer ideas to suit our needs. They are a very great place for fast take out and I would recommend them to everybody.

the food is great and extremely tasty. The quantity is also very good. But i will not be coming back anytime soon. I live in Stittsville and your restaurant is very far. It is a 40 km drive for me and i don't even have winter tires. Will you consider opening a branch anytime soon in the west end. I will be thrilled.

Qiot Riot

Long standing Malay restaurant in Ottawa. Cozy little space and very friendly staff. Owners have been serving the city for decades. Authentic flavours and the level spiciness can be adjusted to your tastes. Be warned, the shaved ice dessert is big enough for four people. We ordered two to share but hardly made a dent. Skip the fried banana dessert.

Taste is good but deducted a rating as the food seemed too oily and over flavoured . Edit: thank you for the explanation, I reiterate that the taste is very good. Yes the texture and flavour changes depending on time-gap between cooking, packaging and consuming. Changed rating to five (from four) and will visit again!

Great food. Large portions. Love this place and would visit again and again. I really request the owners to keep this place open for business every day of the year. Me and my family had plans to dine here on the 25th Dec. Unfortunately this place was closed. The restaurant is so good it should not be allowed to close for a single day. That may disappoint some valuable customers. Good luck. I will come back soon.

Best spring rolls in Ottawa. Malaysian fried noodles were addictive and they came in a large portion. The owner was flexible and omitted the shrimp for us and helped us choose the right dishes for a shellfish allergy. True gem. Very affordable. But those spring rolls..... mmm.... This is getting added to our pandemic takeout rotation.
