If you are looking for a non judgmental, personal and caring Humane Society/Rescue, this is the place to go! We adopted our pup from GTHS on August 14th, 2020 and the experience was amazing! Every single person that we spoke with was absolutely lovely. You can tell that they really care about the animals in their care. They have a great adoption process, that is non judgmental. I really appreciate that they take the time to call and speak to you about the animal that you applied for. After that, you set up a meet and greet with your potential new pet. Once that is done, they call you again to see if you want to move forward and from there you set up a date to pick up your new family member! The amount of information and resources we received in our adoption package was outstanding and very helpful! Since the time we have adopted our pup, they have checked in to see how everything is going and also sent a postcard. I want to thank you all for taking such great care of our pup while he was in your care! We feel so fortunate to have him in our lives and look forward to many fun adventures with him! I will continue to support GTHS and highly recommend them!!!
This place is amazing just got a husky mix and you could tell he's gotten the best care while he was there and now he's in his forever home.

I went and visited the cat room at the gths and the next day came home with a cat. The staff and volunteers were very helpful and even the IT guy was friendly. They gave me a full run down on my kitty and explained everything very thoroughly showing how much they care about the animals there. Although they were sad to see their favorite kitty go they were so happy to see he found a loving home to go to. Adopt don't shop please.
