Whoever sharpened my skates this morning Sunday the 28th of February 2021 did an amazing job. I didn't even have to run them on the bench.

To be honest, the sales staff is mostly really knowledgeable and helpful. They don't have a large selection of goalie equipment, but their sales are usually pretty good and they do their best to help out. Their real failure point is the skate sharpening. I think they should invest in a few sparx machines because I have only receive 1 good sharpening out of 15. That is not an exaggeration. The last one a couple weeks ago was the final straw for me. Their were two guys, standing around talking to each other, and not paying attention at all to the job their were doing. They even stopped sharpening my skates to cut off a stick. Again, there were TWO of them. And the sharpening was so bad, it really was the worst one I have ever received, again not an exaggeration. I played one period in the skates and couldn't stand up after warmups. I brought them to someone I trust who does consistently good jobs and he showed me the blades: they were so crooked that he actually had to tell other people that he wouldn't have time to do their skates as mine took 25 minutes to fix. He had to regrind them down essentially and reprofile them to correct it. He even said it was the worst he had ever seen. The time before that, when I got the new skates, the blades were burnt so badly in so many places that, again, it had to be ground to correct. So in summary: good staff for sales, and atrocious sharpening. I honestly think they should just use the Sparx (or other) machines and leave it at that because their staff just aren't dependable at all. At least not in my experience over the last few years.
