Beautiful and private location right on the water.
We just returned from staying at the Bellhouse Seaside Cottage and we recommend it. It is in Sturdies Bay so that it is easy to access restaurants, pub, and grocery store. Years ago we stayed at a place miles north on the island that was mice infested and dank smelling, and not right on the water. This cottage was perfect with cleanliness, supplies to make meals, coffee and it is right on the water. It is pet friendly which is still hard to find these days and it is perfect dog walking country. There is a lovely beach to walk to on Farmhouse Rd. The cottage is small, but fine for 2 or 3 people. Nice deck to watch the ferries go by and it feels like you can almost touch them. Lots of deer and fawns eating apples from trees down the road. We are seniors and the furniture was a bit low for rising out of, but bring a couple of cushions and you will be fine. All that is missing is a hammock on the deck to snooze. lol Owners were nice to deal with. We will return. Four star is a great review from me.
I am currently staying here as I write this review working on my second book. I was quite surprised when I walked through the doors of this cottage, not only is it in the perfect location, it's also quite cozy and peaceful. If it wasn't out of my price range i could see myself making several trips here. Overall it's been a pleasant experience.
Beautiful, quiet and the owners are a pleasure to deal with.
