There has been some clear cutting going on. So we learned to follow the North trail. Pay attention to where you have to cross the FSR.

It's a grind, for sure. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who's out of shape, particularly not for people with a high center of gravity. Quite a few sections are quite steep and are missing good footholds. The way back down is tricky. One good point is it's nicely shaded most of the way. Even on a hot day it's not too bad.
One of my favorite hikes in Mission, definitely one to add to your bucket list.
Great climb, heck of a workout
It's a good hike but there's sections of the trail that are not well marked. Just keep going up and you'll probably get to the cabin and beyond if you want to. Beautiful views of the valley and Mt. Baker make it worthwhile.
