We live in the city of Ottawa. Had no problem meeting with Joel at any hours giving traffic conditions and direction of travel. Provided good description of problem before the work. Provide detail competitive quotes. Performed investigative work and determined appropriate fix required and desired. Stay on the site till job is done right. Documented all work performed. Work is excellent by his crew. Two member team at our site are friendly, professional and hard workers. Found and fixed our leaky foundation. Work completed on time. Restored all ground surface to original condition and special requests. Will use Foundation Works again and recommend them.
I have had 2 repairs completed by this company. Both repairs were completed in a timely, professional manner. Joel is excellent to deal with provides plenty of detail and insight as to the repair, and the rectification. The repair technicians themselves are also very friendly, and seem to have no problem explaining what they are doing, and why they are doing it. The only issue I had was getting a hold of Joel directly for the second repair, and that was due to my emails being recognized as spam. Otherwise I contacted the office and left a message with the courteous clerical staff, and Joel got back to me within 48hrs (might have been less). I would recommend Foundation Works to any Johnny or Jill home owner, these guys are not out to screw anyone over they definitely present the Old School 'live by you word' mentality.
We had 5 companies give us estimates to address our foundation issues. Foundation Works wasn't the least expensive, but they gave the most detailed estimate by far, and the owner explained at length the process and the pros and cons of different approaches to repair and sealing of the basement, which put our minds at ease. They photographed each phase of the work (nice to have when it comes time to sell the house -- prospective buyers will want proof the work was done right!). I asked for some additional work to be done and the cost was very reasonable. No surprises, no complaints. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get their foundation fixed and waterproofed.
We would recommend them highly to anyone. Customer service was great, very professional and reassuring. Joel helped us with our water infiltration problem and also he noticed other problems that our builder was not aware of.
