Horribly rude proprietor. Their products, especially for knitting, are very good quality and usually well stocked but you have to get past the cranky owner. I'm giving two stars because of the superior quality of products (5 star products, 1 star service). I've been going here for quite some time and finally have had enough. I want to shop local but here it comes with a price. The proprietor is always quirky, often cranky, inconsistent, arrogant and annoyed by people coming to spend money in his shop. I have moved my business to a much friendlier retailer outside the region who sells the same quality brands. I understand that businesses are under extreme pressure with COVID rules and restrictions. And it's just as confusing for customers. Every curbside pickup shop had its own processes and we all work together to do our best. However, I do not need to be yelled at, ridiculed and taunted by this man because his lockdown procedures were not made clear to me. I have been a loyal and regular customer here and I guess the only good thing I can say is that this man does not discriminate, his rudeness extends to all.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon in Niagara Falls and we decided to take the trip out to Rose’s Fine Yarns. When we arrived, there was a sign on the door that said to enter through the shop next door. As we walked up to the door of the shop next door, 2 customers arrived to pick up an item that was supposed to be ready for them. A man (the owner) answered the door very rudely and I guess the item wasn’t ready because he was arguing with the 2 women about it. This was happening right at the door way, so we couldn’t even enter. We decided to wait a bit because we made the trip out there especially for this shop, but it was taking quite a while. The women sounded like they were trying to come up with a solution, but the man kept arguing. Eventually we decided to just leave, and got in our car. Suddenly the man came out of another door right next to my car and starting yelling at us about how something “won’t fit in your car”. He thought we were the people there to pick up the item.. who he spoke with for a while so how did he get us confused? Not to mention, why was he yelling at anyone?! Most of the other reviews for this place are great, so I was really excited to come. I definitely won’t make the trip out next time we are in Niagara.
One of the best places you can go to for all your yarn and accessories. The owner is so pleasant and very helpful.
