I have been a student at the Music Studio for about 2 years. I started with guitar lessons and now I'm taking piano. The teachers are very professional and extremely supportive and they would always find pieces/exercises appropriate to my level and my interests. They are also very accommodating in terms of scheduling lessons and have found effective ways to continue supporting students during the pandemic (with zoom lessons and shared resources via email). I highly recommend the music studio either if you are looking to learn to play an instrument for fun or if you want to further develop your theoretical/technical music skills.

The Music Studio’s teachers, lessons and various programs are fantastic! They keep all of our children - 3 kids ranging from elementary to high school - engaged in Music education. They all enjoy and look forward to their lessons. The Music Studio’s approach to teaching music comes first from enjoyment and then if you child wants to become serious that is supported as well. Whatever your child’s goals are they are well supported at the Music Studio. Also, due to the pandemic they quickly changed to online instruction without a negative impact on learning. Music Studio lessons is an activity that continued to be maintained when so many others were cancelled. Many thanks to Ed and team!!!

I’ve been taking piano lessons at The Music Studio as a mature student for three years now, after more than 30 years away from playing. It’s been great to start learning again and while I still play some classical pieces, I am particularly enjoying my work on contemporary music, learning chords and how to create my own arrangements with Ed. Ed is very knowledgeable and patient and I feel that he enjoys sharing his love of music and seeing me progress. Highly recommended!

From an early age, Nicholas showed a keen interest in music, and my husband and I participated in a number of song circles before discovering the Music Studio in September 2015. We couldn't be happier with our decision to enrol Nicholas in a group class! From the very beginning, we were met with enthusiasm, and were impressed by the community that Ed has built around a mutual love for music. Nicholas has gone on to take private lessons (vocal and piano), and the encouragement he's received from his teachers, and the progress he's made as a result of their dedication is truly amazing and appreciated. I still can't believe he \walked up on the big stage\ (Nicholas' words) at the tender age of four, pink ukulele in hand, for his first recital and actually sang! We are so thankful for the care Nicholas continues to receive at the Music Studio, and look forward to many more years of making memories with them through music. I would recommend the Music Studio to anyone and everyone!
