Poor customer service today at Royal York Meat Market. I called to request a steak, unsure of which is a good cut to order for a Saturday night dinner, and the women who answered expected me to be a specialist in meat cuts! You're the butcher! She was extremely rude to me on the phone and very curt during the conversation. When I told her that I would call her back in 5 minutes, she forgot to hang up the phone and proceeded to bad mouth me in front of another customer there for curbside pickup I expect or maybe they were in the store against regulations. If this is way you treat your customers, you have lost my business. I should have checked the other google reviews before coming here, since there are more problems at this butcher shop.

If I would give zero for customer service I could. The angry woman at the cash was so upset with me taking an extra 30 seconds to choose a tray of butter tarts when I was cashing out with a pair of 50 steaks… She slammed the credit card machine down was a completely rude to me. I decided to take the extra items off my bill. I was intending to not give this business my sale whatsoever because of the terrible attitude and this woman. I don’t know how you can keep a business up and running especially during the pandemic with such crass and angry people serving you. I was smiling and chuckling and trying to carry a conversation with her but she just could not give me the time of day and told me to “HURRY UP”. Even the customer that was behind me in line was embarrassed for me being treated like this. I would boycott this place just for her and it’s terrible service. Although they have a lovely produce out front I don’t recommend supporting small businesses that are treating people like this
So happy to have this store in our neighborhood. Great selection of meats and sausages and they go out of their way to make their storefront appealing and inviting. Sadly, I can't say the same about many other places in the area. Keep up the great work! #ShopLocal
Excellent service and great quality. You get what you pay for. Every time I've asked for a specific cut or a special trim, there's been no attempt to switch me to a pre cut portion. They understand that if you ask for something it's because that's what you're looking for. Good butter tarts as well.
I've always had a great experience with the meats. Our favorite is the tomahawk steak - it's always delicious!
