We spent 1,200 on a beautiful rocker from a Canadian company expecting quality better than received. The design and workmanship was as expected but the overly poor choice of material quality is very disappointing. We chose Monte to support Canadian and an eco friendly company but poor quality leaves an eco footprint equivalent to cheap disposable furniture. Seeing other reviews, I won’t be looking through boxes for a receipt from a few years ago, just disappointed with the product and do not recommend anyone spend their money with expectations of superior quality from this company.

We selected this "salt & pepper" sectional for our basement games room and are absolutely thrilled with it! We especially love the versatility of configuring the design to fit our needs. The quality is excellent and we will absolutely be repeat customers. Thank you Monte!!!
I recently purchased the Grano Glider Recliner for our nursery and we could not be more thrilled with the purchase. This item checks all the boxes, it's extremely comfortable, it is aesthetically beautiful and I think will look good in any room when we no longer use it for our baby. We feel that this chair is top quality and has allowed us to transition to new parenting duties with relative ease. You won't regret the decision to bring a Monte Design chair into your home. 5 Stars, 2 thumbs up, 100%, etc. etc.
We purchased this Monte chair thinking it was a premium product but unfortunately after several years the quality of the material has not held up at all. The chair will need to be re-upholstered. Will not recommend.
I am not one to typically write a review, but I feel my recent experience with Monte warrants a 5 star review. In fact, I would give 6 stars if I could. We have been purchasing Monte Furniture for about 10 years now and would highly recommend all of their products. We started with purchasing a rocker for our nursery, and now own 4 rockers, 1 stationary chair in our office and 2 home line chairs in our family room, plus 6 cubino chairs in our play room. We've paired the Monte chairs with the Oeuf line in all the kids bedrooms and we are so happy. The Monte Design furniture is not only beautiful, but durable and functional. The customer service is the best I've ever received and I feel good about purchasing a product made in Canada. Thank you Sandra and the entire Monte team, keep up the amazing work:)
My wife and I purchased a Monte glider chair about 5 years ago from retail store Liapela at the Shops of Merrick Park. We opted for the leather version for the looks and ease of cleaning. This chair has seen very light use as we only sit in it to read bedtime stories. However, the leather started to peel within 3 years of ownership. The small pillow that was extra has also started to peel. This chair was NOT cheap with a price tag of over 1500. We honestly expected this chair to last for the long haul, but the leather Monte is using to upholster is faux and very cheap quality for this price point. Liapela sold us this chair stating that it was genuine leather, but is it not. Not sure if Monte or Liapela is misleading the consumer, but we are very upset about this horrible experience. We have genuine leather sofas from Macy's that are over 15 years old that still look new. After some research it seems like others have also had this same problem with peeling. We would like Monte to recognize that their products have serious defects and resolve the situation in some way. Photos are worth a thousand words, but good customer service it worth more. Hopefully this review will help future customers make an informed decision when purchasing any Monte products. For now, we will not recommend Monte to any friends or family. Thanks PS...full transparency, this same review was posted directly on Monte's own website that was never actually published. Don't always believe those fake 5 star reviews.
I have been debating different fabrics to order the “Dorma Bed” in for several weeks and would like to thank, the thoughtful and attentive team at, Monte for helping me to make a selection that I’m sure my family will love. It took many emails and phone calls but never once did I feel rushed or as though I was a bother. I would 100% recommend Monte Design and their amazing customer service team!
We purchased a como and couldn’t be happier!, great glider - really made the nighttime feedings comfortable. Would also recommend the ottoman great for resting your feet, also has storage and is great for when the little one is learning to stand.
