Love escape room challenges and this one has to be top of my list. Staff was very friendly, and super helpful in guiding/explaining the rules. Easily accessible location. From what I can tell, they are consistently changing the themes and introducing new challenges, which makes this a top place to come back to. We challenged the “trump tower escape” and it was a very fun one to attempt with our friends. Will definitely be coming back!!!

First experience here and it was a blast! Well put together, and extremely organized. Loved the fact there was a host with us that provided small clues, which helped. Definitely will come back again.

Great rooms that are challenging. You can set the difficulty depending on how much escape room you did. Very different from other escape rooms that we did. Nonlinear, that creates conversations for hours. The ambiance is really good. I remember we wanted to go do an escape room on a holiday Monday and most escape room are not open until night time. We just call them and they accommodated our request. Talk about good customer service. Everyone is really nice. And free post cards As for location, it helps build the mood for the theme that they have. Be sure to come early so you will have time to play boardgames and be oriented They always have a new room after a few months. The owner really thought of everything which we really appreciate. We will surely come back, that's for sure

The actors involved in the Holly Jolly Christmas at Lougheed House were really enjoyable (especially the Grinch). I think what was so disappointing was that it was advertised as a two-hour escape room experience, and it turned out to be a 100 minute scavenger hunt. If that’s what we had paid our 50 each for, I would have very little negative to say about it. For seasoned escapers or people looking for it to be an escape room, it was a let down as it wasn’t as advertised. A few of the other escape room companies in town have fairly involved introductions for some of their rooms, and that time is never deducted from the actual play time. Again, it comes down to how it was advertised. Perhaps mentioning that the play time is only 100 minutes with a 20 minute introduction would clarify things. There were definite delays when waiting to complete necessary interactions with the actors, which sort of detracted from the immersion experience. What puzzles there were definitely weren’t bad, and I would be interested in playing one of the company’s actual escape rooms, but Holly Jolly Christmas was a disappointment for us because we were expecting something other than a scavenger hunt.

We just tried the holly jolly Lougheed Christmas escape experience over the weekend and we loved every minute of it! The venue was beautiful and while I imagine building a puzzle game into a protected heritage building is probably really challenging, they did an amazing job. Each of the amazing spaces was well used and really added richness to the immersive experience and story. The actors were amazing, I keep changing my mind about which one was my favourite. From the intro scene to each interaction, the script was both clever and hilarious. The puzzles themselves were equal parts clever and charming as well. While they weren’t as challenging as some I’ve seen, they still kept us busy for the entire night with several great “aha” moments, and their whimsical Christmas theming couldn’t have been more on point. I was also really impressed with the intricacy of the experience design and flow for the show. There were a ton of people doing things all over the house but we never had a puzzle given away and we never had to wait more than a minute or two for an actor interaction. This was truly a highlight of our Christmas break, can’t wait to see their next theatrical experience!
