I've noticed a considerable improvement in the quality of the LRT security guards since July of 2020. Like night and day.
My first impression upon seeing the security guards at the LRT stations was one of shock and consternation. At one station, the guard was sleeping. Out like a light. At another station, the guard was listening to music on headphones and was so removed from the world around him. You need to fire whoever is in charge of the LRT security guards and get someone who knows what they're doing to whip those guards into shape. The problem clearly lies with the operations manager. I don't know how you do things in the city, but out in Stony, we wouldn't tolerate our tax money being thrown away like this.
I don't feel safe taking the LRT. The guards here are just sitting on benches, reading e-books, even dozing off. I called Securigard and got in touch with a guy named Adam who lost his temper, swore at me, told me he was an ex cop and that he knew what he was doing and hung up the phone on me. The security industry in the city is a lost cause.
