I moved into the Mayfair South just before all this COVID stuff in February 2020, so I have been living here for over a year now. Building Management is awesome ( Julie & Vic ) they always respond to my concerns promptly and address any issues I have ( I can be demanding ), they are very friendly and professional which I appreciate very much! I have lived a few places downtown and unfortunately it is very easy to come across scummy landlords who don't care about the client, so it was very refreshing when I moved in here to professional management ( Julie & Vic) that genuinely cares about me & gives me peace of mind. The price is awesome especially for the area, ( heart of downtown ) as most other places charge MORE for a old, dumpy apartment. Very bus and LRT friendly which is great for me as I don't drive. The bus stop is right around the corner on Jasper Ave and the Corona station entrance is just outside the alley. The apartment itself is very modern and sleek, very gorgeous apartment that is cat-friendly! The building has security guards who patrol it regularly at night which is an added bonus. The neighbours here are quiet and respectful and I have met some new friends in the lobby which is nice especially since I am generally not outgoing and usually keep to myself. The Mayfair South is a hidden gem in plain sight and I am proud to call it my home.

One of the best experiences ever! I have lived at this place on two separate occasions. The building itself is beautiful and in a fantastic location, on top of that the management is incredible. Julie (the property manager) has always been friendly and talked to her tenants like family. Any issues have been addressed quickly and professionally (unlike other building in the area from my experience). I started in this building in 2018, when I moved out the following year I regretted it. I moved back in 2020 and Julie still remembered me and welcomed me back. These modern apartments have given me some of my favourite years. Any negative reviews I have read on here seem like issues out of the staffs hands. Downtown is a hard place to live, but I assure you it is hard to come by better management than this! If you are looking for a reliable, secure place to live, I would highly recommend this one!
Guys, the management here is terrible! I have been here 1.5 years and just recently the building started to show their true colour. They had a fire on one of the top floors where the sprinklers were on for 1-2 hours and the entire building flooded. Now they brought in these contractors from the streets to dry out the place with dehumidifiers who by the way are picking fights with frustrated tenants. They only have 2 elevators and usually only one works which takes up to 15min to wait for one so if you live on the top floor, good luck! They also have plumbing issues due to people putting food down the drain. The main drain was clogged and many apartments had plumber come in which happened to me 3 times in 2 months. The worst part about this building is that they don't care. They just want your money without taking any accountability. Once my lease is up, I am outta here. The good times for this building are over, sadly :(
I moved in last month and so far have absolutely loved the place. The managers are friendly and extremely helpful, and the suites are gorgeous. I have a studio but it's large enough to feel like a one-bedroom, with nice new appliances in a sleek kitchen and beautiful floors throughout (no carpet!!). The rent is affordable for the quality of the suites, and I've yet to find a nicer place for cheaper.
