Our mother is very happy living at Laurel Heights. We immediately noticed how the friendly staff made this transition comfortable for her. The Nursing staff has given high priority care when needed and have quickly communicated any concerns to the family. The Senior staff is always available to meet and answer any questions about policies, procedures, the facility and programs. In addition to the staff, the residents themselves are cheerful, warm and welcoming. Many remembering our mother's name the first week. They have also formed a Welcoming Committee. Our mother enjoys the entertainment & activities and especially the company at her dining room table. The food is delicious. We have eaten there too and can verify the meals are very tasty!

Very Happy with our experience After spending a month or more searching and touring various retirement residences for my mother in law to move into I was thoroughly impressed with Laurel Heights. Starr was very knowledgeable and friendly, she showed me around, answered all my questions. A few days later I brought my husband to view, he loved the place. He told me several times I can picture Mom living here. Next hurdle would be to bring Mom. Since walking with a walker, she found it a lot of walking to see everything but liked it as well. Over the next several weeks we brought her other children to view as well as enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. We also met Darlene who was so kind and welcoming. Looking forward to mom moving in soon. Thank you Starr & Darlene! Angela & Brian

Both my mother and father live in Laurel Heights Seniors' Residence, on separate floors due to Dad needing supportive living. They both have had excellent care and attention in spite of having pretty demanding needs. I can't thank the staff enough for their extra care and attention, especially for Dad after a hospital stay, and while awaiting a long-term care placement. In all my visits, I did not encounter a single surly or less-than-professional care worker or nurse. The care director and staff coordinated with Alberta Health and were able to meet Dad's needs very well indeed until his recent move to long-term care.

Laurel Heights Retirement home Edmonton Alberta My 94 year old mom moved into Laurel Heights Oct/16/2016 for a staggering 2976.00 dollars a month in independent living. In less than 2 years it has jumped to over 4000.00 a month. She is still living as an independent but they are now dispensing her medication. About 8 months ago she contracted shingles which were not noticed by staff but by me when I had her home for a sleepover to which they had no answer. A few months later I noticed she was slurring her words and had very labored breathing. I called the resident nurse and had her meet me at my moms room and after checking her over she said she was fine and all was normal. She fell down that night and when they called and said she had hurt her arm I demanded they call an ambulance to take her to the hospital. It turns out she had broke her arm in the fall but also had a stroke and pneumonia non of which the nurse had observed from Laurel Heights My mom spent 2 months in the hospital and then 2 more at a rehabilitation center. Laurel Heights refused to give my mom any credit on the 4000.00 a month bill even though she was not there for any of the meals or got any of the services included in payments. I made many phone calls to all levels of management and they all had the same response my 94 year old mom had signed a contract and their would be no refund. After the fall my mom could not go back to Laurel Heights as she now needs full time care and now they made her pay another months rent as per contract. ZERO COMPASION from Laurel Heights only there for the money and would never advise anyone to put a loved one in this facility.

My daughter went there for a field trip and she learned lots of new things that were back in the old in days.
