I've participated in various styles of martial arts over the years--which have all been quite valuable to learn, but I really wanted a style that would prove to be effective in \the street\ if I ever got attacked and where the techniques were not too complicated to learn or execute. I finally found what I was seeking with Kravolution Krav Maga at Krav Maga Solution Edmonton. We train to defend against many kinds of attacks that could happen in a real-life situation. I have been taking it for almost four years and really enjoy it. I recommend Krav Maga for anyone who wants to learn reality based self-defense and isn't afraid to sweat!
This was amazing. I was super nervous about my first class, and emailed a few questions.. Dave responded immediately. The class itself was challenging, but we spent a good amount of time going over the basics, discussing safety, and making sure I understood why we did things (e.g. why we held our arms at a certain angle, how we'd know when to use what move, etc). He was also great at teaching me personalized moves that I could use. I learned so much in just one class and I can't to build on it next week! Also.. it's been 2 days and I'm still sore so it's a great workout as well as a great learning experience.
Krav Maga Solution is an Edmonton, Alberta, Canada based Club that teaches Krav Maga , an Israeli rooted martial science that is very self defense oriented , very good for general physical fitness also.
