Beaches Sailing is a first rate sailing school. I selected Beaches because of its certification and excellent reputation. As a novice, I really appreciated the attention to detail and personal attention I received. Steve Smith is a master mariner and a gifted instructor. His sailing experience (Great Lakes, Lake Simcoe, the Caribbean, etc) was most evident. Training was well-structured, safe and lots of fun! I recommend Beaches sailing to everyone - from newbies like me to experienced sailors.

One of the most memorable courses I have taken. With focus on practical skills needed to be a good and safe sailor and what is what is required for Sail Canada captain's certification. Steve's easy going character, focus on important details and students' needs and vast experience as a captain made the learning process smooth and easy, despite the high volume of material covered in the keelboat cruising course. Highly recommended for novice sailors and sailors wanting to improve their sailing skills. Thanks Steve!
Great instruction. Great confidence building. Instructor really focused on my personal development. I took the Basic Cruising course and then an experience builder afterwards, and am now enjoying my new sport! Looking forward to chartering in the Caribbean this winter.
