It was awesome! For a dinosaur lover like me it felt like Jurassic Park coming to life. The displays went in the timeline through the eras ending with the dinosaur era. The skeletons looked very realistic and correct and helped me learn a lot! I loved and it was a very great experience, it is in Canada and I live in Colorado so I had to take a big road trip but it was so worth it for a trip to this amazing museum, I put some pictures below of some of the dinosaur skeletons. The trip took 7 days and was pretty fun for me and will probably be very fun for you!

Absolutely love the Royal Tyrrell. It was a free entry day and they had staggered entry, which was dealt with fabulously. The museum is packed to the rafters ( literally) with dinosaur bones. Separated into eras with information on the type of animals living in that era, it is breathtaking to look at and factual for those who want to know more. I also really like the section where you can watch the staff at work removing new found bones from the rock. Outside, you are slap bang in the middle of Hoodoo country. Go and explore, look for unique rocks - but remember, no taking samples home.

I had an amazing time here in September! It’s an awesome facility! They are however expanding and renovating so some construction is present. I recommend going here for all the dinosaur lovers of all ages!

The Museum has changed so much since I was a kid! We talked with a staff member and she said they try and change the museum 30% every year. The exhibits are amazing, as you travel through the museum you also travel through time from the beginnings of the universe to more modern times. There is a lot of Alberta-specific prehistoric history, and they do a great job of introducing you to the process of discovering and recovering fossils. The gift store has some really cool souvenirs and I spent way more than I probably should have haha.

A great place to come check out some really unique and interesting history from not only Canada but the world. This unique glimpse into the past is a must see when in Calgary. It's great for singles couples or families.

Very impressed with this museum. Lots of exhibits, thought we had reached the end of it when it was actually just the halfway point. Something for everyone, whether you are a kid or an adult, know much about dinosaurs or very little.

I have always loved this amazing museum in the Alberta badlands! Been coming here since I was a kid and it has never been boring. I always have a great time learning about these strange and interesting creatures who used to roam the earth. Friendly and professional staff as well. 100% will keep coming back again and again!
