Had previously gone to Sport Chek across the hall - it was awkward - people did not seem like they wanted to be there - I then went next door to “Pro Hockey” and it was like night and day. The guy who helped me there was awesome. Offered other solutions when they didn’t have the right size, answered my questions with knowledgeable answers - gave some suggestions of similar goods that were a bit cheaper. Handled a return no problem - Sport Chek....not so much. And even when I had gone to try on some stuff and came back, someone else even offered to help, cus the other guy wasn’t immediately there. Super helpful.
Today we went to purchase skates for our son. The teen helping us was so condescending right from the start. We couldn't believe it. When we said we weren't in the 400-600 price range he looked perplexed and irritated. He still gave us a 600 pair to try. When we asked for something in the 250-300 range he said he couldn't help us! We have been buying skates for 10 years and have never experienced anything like this! We have purchased from here many times before but we will not be back.
Went to buy kids skates for the season, staff Ray? Was super helpful and knew his shet. Will go back.
