A must see for nature lovers if you are in the Vancouver area. It would be easy to spend 3 hours here or even a full day as the sanctuary is quite vast with many points of interest. Huge variety of migratory birds that will only further to increase into the cooler months. There are areas that are flooded with hungry mallards and Canadian geese and also quiet areas which one can really connect with nature. It’s well worth the cost of admission to support wetland conservation. The highlight of my visit was climbing to the top of the tower to get some photos. Much to my surprise a number of small wetland birds were so friendly and came right up to me. I was able to get in a quick visit and hence this review is shorter but I appreciated the full service washrooms before leaving again onto other travels. It is possible to take public transit to south Ladner and walk the 7 KM into the sanctuary on a nice day, this is what I did in an effort to support climate change awareness! All told I walked 25 KM on that beautiful day!!

Yesterday was my first visit to this sanctuary and I walked out with a new t-shirt AND year-long membership. Absolutely beautiful walk and so many gorgeous birds to try and spot! I couldn't have had more fun playing with the ducks and chickadees, too. Booked my next visit for two days from now and plan on going weekly just for some peace of mind. Thank you!

Didn’t go in as they were not open advertised hours. Wah! BUT wait, there’s more! Next time I just have to plan things better and get there at least 2 hour before they close so I can go and have a look around. It would be good if they said they close at 3 though. But now I know how to get there at least. And something about reservations too... Enjoy!

Nice place for birdwatching any time of the year. Totally family friendly, purchase bird seed at the start of the walk.

Excellent place to enjoy nature and birds. Multiple trails leading around the park so it's easy to find peace even on a busy day. Lots of parking, trails are clean, nice washrooms, and birds, lots of birds.
