Poor service, the two employees that were in the store when i arrived didn't acknowledge me. When i approached them to ask a question i was given a cold shoulder. I will be sure that others know not to bother coming in so i can save them the hassle. Go to the big box stores! Employees are more interested in their renovations then providing a service.

Firearms prices are exceptionally high with very low quality. Staff are generally not very helpful, some uninformed on their products. I had two staff members inform me what I was looking for was illegal (Beowulf magazines), which they certainly are not. You would be much better off buying online. However if you must purchase immediately, the Halifax Army Navy store would be a much better retailer than Better Buy. Their reputation hasn't changed since they opened.

I've never had a positive experience at this store. I inquired about a rifle that they had on order about a year ago and was supposed to get a call when it came in. After calling about a half dozen times trying to find out if it actually came in, I just gave up. I called the other day to ask if they carried a sling I've been trying to find locally for my shotgun and after being put on hold by a very rude woman while she "looked", I was hung up on. I would encourage you to go to Hnatiuk's or Green Diamond, Better Buy Sports is a joke.

Worse gun shop in regards to service I've been to. Not very helpful, prices tend to be higher than other local shops. Will be giving my business to Halifax Army Navy going forward. Service much better along with fair prices.

Every time i go in there i come out feeling depressed. If you are looking for a holster for a sub compact prohibited pistol or an overpriced tacticool stock for your SKS then this is the place to go. If you are a normal hunter or gun owner then go to Green Diamond.

Sadly it's the only gun/hunting place in dartmouth. Everything is overpriced and I never find anything I'm looking for. The first time I came was about a Lee Enfield, I wanted them to check on it and the guy just shook his head and said he would not bother looking at it. Recently I asked them to index my m305 and they told me it would cost more than the rifle itself. This is about a 100, one or two hours top to do it, no way it takes half a day to remove and put a barrel back together. At least the stores looks nice and the staff is friendly. They have a small reloading inventory so I come back once in a while to check in hope to find something, but nothing.

Better Buy has sold me "Non Corrosive" 7.62X39 which turned out to be corrosive multiple times. Staff has given wrong information on many firearms related questions. As soon as my gift card to better buy is used up, I'm not going to buy from here again.

I'm a reloader for over 35 years and this place is far to expensive to shop of anything they have, IE; 55 gr FMJ .224 for a box of 50 nearly 40.00 for the box. It does not matter what brand they are not worth it on this planet. Also pretty poor pickings to boot. I'll shop else where, like here in the Valley or go to Moncton. Cabelas even Bass Pro. I was told the Cabela's is setting up a store in the Dartmouth area. Well there goes your business unless you change big time.
