I tried calling you guys tonight.. how come you didnt pick up? I just wanted someone to hear me. I even searched for other numbers to call.. heck, you dont even have to care, I just wanted to be heard. Thanks though, maybe next time.

It makes me so sad to see that so many people have had such negative and unhelpful experiences with this help line. I called and got an automated message saying all the lines were full. I hung up and cried in frustration reading the reviews and not knowing what to do. I called back and right away got to speak with Laura. She was very sweet and sounded genuinely concerned about my well being and was sympathetic. I found speaking to her very helpful and she has a soothing voice. This experience put me in a whole other mindset than where I was when I had initially called and I really hope other people get help from this and don’t only have negative experiences. I am very thankful for Laura tonight.

Thats right everyone. They don't care. You feel rushed! And to the person who said they worked they worked there for 12 years they laugh and make fun of us ?? Thats why society has crumbled!

Tried calling multiple times throughout the day only to get an automated message every time saying no counselors are available. While I understand that might be the case at times, how are they at full capacity all day? And they don't even have any mention of wait times or a queue to wait in to speak with someone. They offer no other resources in the message but the number to Manitoba's Suicide Hotline which isn't helpful since I'm not suicidal at the moment, but still in very much in crisis. I've been in a really bad place for over a year now and have just finally started working up the courage to reach out and get help and this has been really disappointing and frustrating. Mental health care in Canada is absolutely abysmal.
