Ed has always been great. Awesome service, amazing advice and you can get anything you need for your boat or marine adventures. I highly recommend them, especially for Mercury motors

I had a very bad set of experiences with CV Marine. We purchased a used boat that was serviced previously by CV Marine. We had a engine fire when the cooling clamp malfunctioned and caused all of the cooling to leak. This caused melting of hoses and overheating emitting vast quantities of toxic smoke. Sea and Rescue had to come to assist us. We took the vessel to another dealer and they showed us several areas where CV Marine used non marine recommended parts. We were told that 2 fuel pumps were installed - one mechanical and one electronic. They told us it was dangerous having an electronic pump as it is on every time the boats battery is turned on. We were told this means high fuel pressure is exerted on the engine increasing the likelihood of a fire. We also could not use the starboard gas tank and asked CV in a letter to look into it \starboard gas tank ( possible water in tank or fouled fuel )\and CV checked it and told us it was okay to use with no sign of fouled fuel or water. We used the tank and the engine failed after trying to start it for 2 hours in Comox Harbour . We had CV rep visit the boat at the Marina and they determined the carb was not working and the starboard tank was filled with diesel. This despite CV Marine telling us they checked the fuel and ran it through an oil/water separator. After this discovery CV sealed the starboard tank and told it would cost us approximately 1,000 to repair . They accused us of putting diesel into the tank. We never ever did and have several witnesses . We were later told that they probably did not check all the way to the bottom of the tank if diesel was actually present. They even had the gall to send us a bill for the field visit. We had several additional bad experiences with them as well. I lost all confidence in their service. Bill

CV Marine is an amazing place to buy marine parts and equipment. Very knowledgeable. I usually deal with Ed there and he always has the time for the boating amateur to answer questions. The parts are well priced and arrive within a couple days. The service guys are amazing. Get the job done and go the extra mile to make you happy! Great staff who will make you feel confident in your decision to shop there! If I could give 6 stars I would... FANTASTIC!!

These guys are honest and are forthright with any thing that is going to come up with any repair I wouldn't take my boat anywhere else. We are lucky too have such a place in the Comox Valley.
