Customer service is simply terrible. I came in to buy a can of paint and the service was disorganized, rude and painfully slow. They told me they only had 1 can of paint left but the tin was rusty, so I had to “filter” the rust particles out before painting my wall. When I asked if they would have more stock soon, they tried to force me to prepay which I refused. Then they went to the back and produced another can of paint, saying they had 1 can left. I wasn’t sure if they had just poured out the product from the rusted can. The staff at the counter was doing some training of a new staff member and said in front of me “you have to ask the customers if they want to buy other stuff like brushes. We want them to spend more money here” trust me I will never spend a dollar at this terrible outlet.

Great service, knowledgeable employees! Semi gloss black paint for a picture frame!

I came in close to closing with a colour issue with a gallon of paint I had bought elsewhere. The sales associate was more than happy to help me with the issue. He talked me through my options, discussed the underlying colours and helped me look at compatible colouring. I walked out confidently with a new colour that went really well with my feature wall and some additional supplies. Super knowledgeable and excellent customer service.

I came in today to buy some paint and supplies for a small trim job I had at my home. The person who helped me (Caucasian male, glasses no mask) seemed to be in a big hurry. Perhaps they meet people who know exactly what they are looking for but I needed some help and advice, that's why I went to a paint store not a hardware store that sells paint. I asked for a primer and he helped me with that and then showed me the selection of paints. One had a primer in it so I decided to get that and told him not to bother with the primer. I didn't see the price anywhere and that didn't come up. When I got to the till, he had rung up the primer, paint and caulking already and simply asked how I wanted to pay. I told him I had no idea how much it was so he flipped around the computer screen. I saw the paint had a discount down to 52 from 80/gallon but I did not need a gallon only a can for my small job. Long story short I did not buy anything at that time, walked over to Rona got a can for 26 which was all I really needed and painted my trim with ample to spare. So much for trusting a professional first. My advice to them is ask more questions from your customer and engage them more. Explain your pricing and discounts before just assuming the customer will pay whatever.

As a professional painter I find myself in the oddest places. As always, my Sherwin Williams local was helpful and friendly, and they had (most of) what I needed. HEAD OFFICE! Wooster bayonet cages and poles are a professional must!
