Beautiful hike through different terrain types. If you're going up to the 'new' coquitlam lake view point, the last little bit is pretty steep, but overall it's a moderate hike. If hiking in the fall be prepared to rock hop over some pretty fast moving creeks.

I love this little walk. I’ve been to this area a few times but somehow never managed to find the trailhead until the 4th time being here. Went on the weekend in the mid day during summer and it wasn’t busy at all. We managed to make the walk longer than it was supposed to be by hiking the surrounding bike trails first then heading to the trail head and going up to the waterfalls.

Did this hike back in October. Hike starts in a bit of a sketchy place on a gravel road, no proper parkìng. Besides it was a range. Falls were fine, pretty falls. Over hike is ok, definetly not best option for a waterfall hike.

Follow the trails on google maps - there are many trails but the main routes for hiking are there. The first 20 minutes or so you can hear the nearby firing range. This really freaked out my dog so I'd advise keeping your dog leashed (although bear risk is another good reason to leash). It's uphill for sure but a really moderate slow uphill. Really muddy and rocky and full of roots so good proper hiking boots with ankle support is important. There's a lot of shade and water here, so it'll be colder than the weather outside suggests.

Decent hike with not too much traffic. Sawblade falls is more exciting than woodland falls. Bring bug spray for sure
