I was concerned about getting my Passport renewal in this difficult times of the virus and lockdown. Effectively, I need to say that I'm very grateful to the help provided by the Portuguese Consulate in Toronto. I was needing that renewal with max. urgency, and I need to say that Mr. Ricardo Pinto was very gentle and helpful. My sincere thank you, for the excellent service provided!

Excellent experience. Showed up 30 minutes after the consulate opened and the place was packed. With all the reviews I figured I'd be there all day. I was in and out the door in 1hr 1/2. The representatives I dealt with were very compassionate and helpful.

All the awful stories you've heard about a trip to the portuguese consulate are true. Lots of rude people working there, so don't expect professionalism. Don't bother calling, no one will pick up or get back to you. Booked the wrong appointment months in advance? Be prepared to get accused and scolded, not helped or given clarity. One worker literally started a scene with me in the lobby, I didn't even get a chance to explain, just continually interrupted and spoken down to. If you're looking for an awful day trip to hell and back, the portuguese consulate is the right place for you!

Like everything else as far as Burocracy in Portugal is complicated, but Employees go the extra mile within their limitations to help you. Thank you Mrs. Paula Pinto! Apreciate your paicience as well!
