The place was amazing. You could not get any closer to the lake. True lake front cabins. I highly recommend taking the pontoon with Carlin as a guide. He has stories that will have you laughing.

I went on my own little adventure to North Haven Lodge at Cole Bay on Canoe Lake... I am from north central Saskatchewan but I believe this was the most north I’ve ever ventured. I went to North Haven in MidJuly and had my own cabin. I am aware that this lodge is freshly under new management which has came along with new goals and a totally fresh perspective on the lodge and potential. The weather was lovely during my trip and I had the opportunity to book a boat and a go out on the lake to explore. Over the course of two days the small group I was with managed to catch 15 fish including a large pike and a considerably large walleye. North Haven has 7 cabins which are comfortable and serviced. Everything was satisfactory and I understand that the plan is to only advance the camp in terms of experience and quality in the near future. I did pack my own food but found there was an option to buy select groceries from the North Haven store. I saw that there was bread, bacon, eggs, and other fresh/ready to order food for purchase. If you go up here, pack lots of bug spray and sunscreen as you will be outside a lot. Also, pack blankets and towels/rain gear as if it rains just like the beauty of the lake with the sun and the heat I can only guess that storms would put on quite the show. Dustin is new management at the camp and I found him to be extremely caring, considerate, and aware of the area. I feel that if you are planning to go up to North Haven no matter the season all you need to do is call and discuss you interests with him (Dustin). He can advise you better than anyone. Aside, I travelled to North Haven through Meadow Lake and has no issues. I am excited to go back to this lake in the future and think that it has a lot of potential to become anyone’s getaway, retreat, or even “newfound” tradition suited for families, group, bachelors/stags, etc.
Carlin and his guys were great to deal with from start to finish. The cabins were clean and the fishing was great. If your looking for a quiet place to relax your found it!
I highly recommend North Haven Lodge. Excellent facilities and customer service! We loved the picnic area and the fishing was awesome! The campground was very clean, the owner Carlin was very friendly and helpful! This is a great family place to visit.
Designed more for people renting their cabins than bringing a camper. Last 30 miles to Lodge is a pretty rough gravel (sand) road, would not recommend travel with an rv. Cabin area looked very nice, well treed and maintained.
If you're looking for a retreat then you have found it. Beautiful views with great ice fishing so much fun in the winter. Cabins are nice and clean and Carlin was a great host. Will be back!
North Haven Lodge is a beautiful place to visit and the scenery is breath taking. The cabin was very clean and the kids loved the day we spent on the lake boating. Defiantly recommend this place. Todd Thomas
