I want to thank the two special constables who helped me to get back home. I experienced in cold weather a bodily crash on the sidewalk, I could barely walk, near their police station. It involved also the help of another citizen who brought me a wheelchair. Thank you for your rescue!

I will say in a few short words: If you are a law abiding citizen in Cobourg, Ontario who is responsible, respectful, caring and in need of assistance from the local authorities- Please, what ever you do: Do Not call them for assistance. In my opinion from a brief experience with them, they are only there to offer their assistance, compassion and protection to those that like to break the Law. ie: drug dealers. Also, please also be aware that the Cobourg Police are in need of a workout facility- as it seems they like to practice Kicking In Doors at local businesses. Just for ‘kicks’ apparently. If Anyone has a punching bag they could lend them, I think they would put it to good use. However, they might prefer a French door or two.

Staff and officers are pleasant and friendly. And in my experience there is one officer who goes above and beyond, and is simply amazing. However, recently I reported a domestic assault; the reporting officer took my report (and I believe he was the arresting officer) but that's as far as he went with it. He didnt didnt follow through on following up with anything...the report is incomplete and missing facts because of this. He didnt respond to a few emails with important questions regarding the incident. How are we, the public, supposed.to trust our Cobourg Police Service?

Not only do the officers do a very difficult job, but in any of my run ins or asking for their help- the cobourg police have Always shown respect upfront with courtesy standing boldly beside. Forever helpful and friendly even when faced with inconsiderate people. Thank you for all you do.
