Fabulous time was had with my family. My kids were in heaven - loved the fishing, boating and helping cook in the kitchen. Kevin and his wife are such good people and are fabulous hosts. We were able to bring our dog which was a great bonus. Cabins have everything you need and the home cooked meals were perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better few days away from it all. Will definitely return!

A friend and I stayed at Fernleigh to do some fishing and relax. We rented one of the newly renovated cabins located directly on the lake shore. The cabin was great; the main living area of the cabin, while clearly the older part of the structure, was clean and roomy, and the new kitchen and bath were very nice. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils, pots, pans and dishes (enough for two guys, anyway). My friend brought his boat for fishing, and Kevin assisted with launching the boat safely. We were able to dock the boat directly outside the cabin. The lake itself is beautiful and was not crowded with other boats (the Fernleigh end of the lake seemed to me to attract more fishing boats than pleasure boats and PWC's, so in that respect was relatively quiet). The main thing I appreciated was that both my friend and I were able to detach ourselves for a few days (sparse cell service, no TV, no phones ringing) and just concentrate on fishing and preparing the fish we caught. For these reasons Fernleigh was perfect. We'll be going back.

Perfect place to get away from the world. Great fishing and hiking, and every cottage is hand built. Great food and company in the main lodge. They have boats and bait and you just need to bring your own tackle. Everything else you need is already there.
2017 was my first year to experience Fernleigh Lodge. Kevin and Melissa (the owners) work very hard to make their place accommodating and comfortable. The lodges are nestled next to the Kashwakamak Lake. The lake is full of a variety of healthy fish. What I like best is that you get to experience the peace and quiet of the deep wilderness and still have the comforts of home.
Absolutely Awesome had a great week here. Fantastic food and a beautiful place.
