The border patrol officer on duty aug 12 2020 was extremely rude and disrespectful. He used intimidation and harrassment to try and make me feel like a criminal. I cross the border many times a year every year, as I am a dual citizen and I have never been treated so offensively.. This same officer attempted 3 weeks earlier to stop me from entering the U.S. - an unprecedented action. It was obvious that from his viewpoint I had no right to travel across the border into the states to visit my own children and grandchildren. Yet the U.S. at this point has no restriction on me entering. I was welcomed respectfully by the U.S. guards. I understand this is a difficult and fearful time for many of us. But it does not excuse using the power of government to intimidate and harass. I have complied with all requirements and laws, mandatory and voluntary, re CoVid19 and so has my family in the states. No one deserves to be treated like that and for the first time I was ashamed to be a Canadian. Very disappointing.

Always a pleasant experience crossing at Cascade.
Very nice border guard there. Crossed about 2330 one evening recently. No problems, even though I was traveling alone w a lot of stuff. Very pretty area...
Not friendly! Especially if you're not used to border crossings.
***COMMERCIAL BORDER*** This is a commercial border trucks can go through here but they are only open from 8am-midnight or around 11pm.
