I have ordered from Bamboo world a few times and all my plants have been healthy and have done great. My most recent purchase two Phyllostachys aureosulcata 'Spectabilis' atleast maybe 20 feet tall I broke one shoot getting it in the elevator but besides that they look amazing.

We drove all the way to Chilliwack to pick our order. It is a small shed hosting bamboo plants. On arrival we were informed that by staff that plants we choose online were given to another buyer. Instead we were given choice of lesser damage plants. Paid full price and online discount offered by Bamboo world website was not of any use either. Lesson learned: better to wait and buy local.

Ordered bamboo online, after shipping it was over 100 per 7” pot which I was OK with, for healthy plants. What I received today were not healthy plants; I got two like the pictured nearly-dead specimen. It is currently late May when the plants should be showing new growth; instead every leaf is brown (most totally brown), there is no sign of new growth, and the soil was bone dry on delivery. The tags indicate they were potted on November 3 2019, over 6 months ago. I understand COVID-19 makes business more complex but the fact that they decided these were appropriate specimens to deliver speaks volumes. I’ll update my review if they address the issue but suffice to say I am far from impressed. Nowhere near fulfilling their guarantee that “the plants you order from us will be healthy and strong”. EDIT - despite the owner’s reply below, I have been unable to contact them and they are not returning my calls. I’m still stuck with a dead plant and no compensation.

A fantastic array of bamboo. Whatever you need, they have it. A good selection of pot sizes over 20 gallons. Very knowledgable and friendly. If you are planting an exotic grove or just 5 basic shoots, they have you covered.

Ordered plants two weeks ago for a delivery in Vancouver and still haven't heard back from them on this. Tried calling them, no one answers and voice mail is full , tried emailing them too, had no luck. This place might be a great place (still need to see my plants to confirm that) but it's frustrating that they are keeping the customer in dark and have no idea about when we would receive the order. I understand that it might be difficult times but they have to communicate this to customers that it will take longer to deliver, on the website it still says that for Vancouver order will be delivered the next business day "We can usually deliver to within the Lower Mainland, and Greater Vancouver (from Chilliwack to Horseshoe Bay), the next business day, if your order is placed before 3:00 pm."

Can never reach anyone here. I'm trying to give you my money.... but after a month, four calls, multiple voicemails, one online quote, a couple emails, and leaving a voicemail with the owner.. not worth it.

I have had so many issues with this company! I purchased 6 robusta from them in July and they all died due to their mistake of cutting it too small and digging during a heat wave. I stared at dead bamboo for 3 months and waited for new bamboo end of sept/oct. I called them multiple times, usually they did not answer or have room on their answering machine, I sent multiple emails which were not replied to... Finally, they told me they were going to ship them on 3 separate occasions and on the third they finally came. I thought great, I won't leave a bad review because it seems like the family company is going through some issues... I thought that would be the end of it with them once I received by replacement bamboo but I looked on my credit card today and they also charged me AGAIN (700) which they were obviously not supposed to do. I have called and emailed them.. I'm expecting this to me a lengthy process of trying to get my money back. I will edit my review if the company responds in a timely manner. At this point, I would not recommend - awful customer service.

Amazing selection of live and cut bamboo. Friendly, knowledgeable staff can give you pointers on how to plant and care for your bamboo. No thatch for your tiki hut though.
