Be sure to read the fine print on this. If you child does not go to post-secondary then you do not get all your money back. They keep the interest. A friend just told me how she paid into for 5 years and had to cancel it and only got a cheque for 13 back. You would be FAR better off to deposit the amount into an account with the bank that you cannot easily access. As you reach say 100 or 500 use it to buy Savings Bonds. The bank can automatically take the desired amount off your account just like they take it but this way YOU control when it is cashed and you keep all the interest if your child does not go to school for whatever reason. Don't give away your money for nothing.

At the first consultation, we were impressed by how they welcomed us. They discussed the plans in a precise way which was easy to understand.
This is a very different company to invest your money in. RESP for your kids, investing into your kids future, is their sales pitch but you have to be aware the CEFI is running a buisness, too. I cancelled the contract with them after only a few months. Too many things did not make any sense. Please read the fine print before you sign.
