I started training here after having my second baby , as a fun way to get back in shape. Nine years later , my daughters , my husband , my brother and friends have joined me in this infectious martial arts . Great training facility with amazing teachers that are always improving and finding ways to keep students engaged/motivated. Their passion for this Brazilian martial art is contagious . Not only will you get in shape , you will be expose to an array of Capoeira culture , which include singing in Portuguese, the history of Capoeira, drumming, samba , machete fighting(Maculele) ....and so much more . Once you step inside you will see and feel a great sense of community amongst teachers, students and parents. Give it try and you will not regretted!!!

Be careful! The classes were good, but don’t expect good service if something goes wrong. I had wanted to try Capoeira for a very long time. A few years ago, I did their free trial and enjoyed the classes so signed up for a six-month membership. A few weeks into the membership, I developed a serious injury that didn’t have a clear time for recovery and when I asked to pause my membership, or cancel and get some sort of partial refund expecting it wouldn’t be an issue, the female manager’s typical friendly attitude completely changed — there was no flexibility offered despite my offering to provide a medical specialist’s note. This is a small operation so there was really no one to appeal to as I was already talking to the school’s manager. I was so overwhelmed by what was happening with my health that I just left and never went back. It felt like a complete money grab and I lost hundreds of dollars. If they had been even somewhat flexible or understanding, I would have returned there after recovering and would be leaving a very different review. I’m not surprised by the positive reviews because things seem great at first and I’m sure they will just deny this ever happened (it’s hard to believe based on how friendly and easy going they appear initially), but it was my experience and I feel it’s important that others know what they are getting into.
Our experience with this academy has been nothing short of amazing. From day one, the instructors have been warm and engaging and always professional. They have taught my girls self confidence, respect for themselves and others - as they learn the different acrobatics, martial arts moves, music, language, self defense & dance that is Capoeira. As a parent, I too have been accepted by extension into this Capoeira family. We are all Bambas!
This has got to be one of the most diverse studios I have ever seen. Yes they have capoeira but they also have so much more. From kids programs to adults, they have everything covered. The instructors and owners are amazing people who genuinely care about their students, i’m real glad we found this place when we did. Give it a shot, so worth it and you will love the atmosphere.
Highly recommend! I've been interested in capoeira for years, but for various reasons, I have struggled to commit to training on an ongoing basis. As such, I've joined, then paused, then re-joined Capoeira Bamba. Each time, they have been welcoming and supportive. This family-run business has gone above and beyond through the CoVid pandemic to move all of their classes online, never compromising on the quality of instruction and class offerings. As someone who has dabbled in various martial arts over the past twenty years, if you've ever been interested in Capoeira, or even in martial arts more generally, this is the place I would recommend above all others.
My daughter loves Capoeira Bamba. The environment is great, the staff is very friendly and the teachers are very professional. I totally recommend Capoeira Bamba.
I started training here in 2010/2011 and regardless of what martial arts I am I interested in, or where life takes me, I always have reason to come back to Bamba for these reasons: top teachers in the city, drama free family feel environment, great classes, same faces for years, huge facility to train in, up to date equipment, and the best place to learn Capoeira in Canada. If you've never been here, you really need to visit this place! I recommend this place for every age group from 3 years old to any age!!!
Wow! Highly recommended!! These classes are SO much fun, and you meet so many wonderful people!! The instructors are so kind and welcoming. I went as a complete beginner, and I'm learning so much and having a great time. The studio is beautiful and there are lots of convenient classes to choose from. This is one of the best things I've done all year. SO much fun.
