Great prices, lots of sale items, great selection. Produce isn't always the best, but usually pretty good. Best overall deal for groceries. Shop there all the time.

Myself and my entire family do 99% of our grocery shopping here because the prices are so good, we only go elsewhere when we can’t find something here. HOWEVER, myself as well as everyone else in my family has had extremely frustrating experiences here during Covid because there is no set place to line up or someone directing people in the line where to go. Other grocery stores have been doing this the entire pandemic and food basics did it for like a month in March 2020 and then stopped. It’s honestly so infuriating, people just make lines wherever they want and then customers argue over which line is the right line to be in. I honestly don’t get it, they have someone greeting people as you walk in, I would so much rather they be paying that person to direct people into one line and tell them when to go to the cashier. Also, if you go at 8 am when they open they only ever have one cashier working and the store is always way too busy for that.

I just went to the store and it is full. No control of the number of people inside of the store. People without masks. No distance. A good place to catch the virus.

Pretty good staff at this location, and generally a very positive vibe in the aisles. I just wish Food Basics would follow 'Farm Boys' community leadership example and send their perishables, that is, food that doesn't look that good on the shelf anymore, to the Cambridge Self Help food bank for those less fortunate to nourish up a tad. It really doesn't help ditching it in the trash for compost.
