I used to love \inner sleeve\, the precursor to this shop. This store is not my style anymore. For sure the most expensive used vinyl in the city. They have a bargain area, but I just don't seem to enjoy browsing in there, and their bargain basement or whatever they call it is a disaster. The electronics are cool to look at, but seem a bit overpriced relative to what it goes for on Kijiji. I think they give it a tune-up/cleaning in house, so it may actually be worth it. I always buy something there when I am in the area, just to support local vinyl, but not my go-to.

All staff have been very helpful when I’m looking for certain albums. Zach was great and took Time explaining my new turntable purchase to me and helping me understand what to look for when purchasing styluses and cartridges for my turntable. I just started to go to this Record store and have found it to be very customer friendly and they have a great selection, which is always changing, so I need to visit the store often as there are many great finds to be had there!

Having worked in sales for years, customer service is everything. I went in to see if they had a stylus for my turntable. They didn't, no problem. The problem lies in how the manager/ owner (?) Treats people. He was unnecessarily rude and pretentious to me, stating that I don't care about my records for using my style of player. He was also rude to the other employee. People on the phone etc. You try to support a small business during covid like we're told and this is how we're treated? Ridiculous. If I had been treated properly I would have spent money on records. Not happening. I'm in shock

I had been considering a TT purchase for a couple of years and doing alot of research and had visited Turn It Up several times since then. I finally purchased a beautiful TT here a couple of days ago, my first one ever, along with some vinyl. Bri was so awesome !! Very intelligent and knew her stuff !! She listened to my needs and criteria and provided some great suggestions and feedback of her own, which I greatly appreciated. We found 2 vintage TTs to try out, along with some albums to test them out. She was very attentive and along with helping other customers, I was impressed that she always continued to check in with me as well. She answered all my questions and I finally chose a beautiful vintage Realistic TT. I also selected 5 albums, and Bri continued to assist me when I needed help finding a particular album. While I was there, I also observed that Bri treated all customers equally with exemplary customer service. I've been spinning my new TT at home since then, and I am so pleased with the performance of the TT. I am 100% satisfied with the customer service I received from Bri and from the TT I purchased. I am definitely going to be revisiting there often. I Highly recommend anyone looking to purchase high end, vintage or affordable audio components and media, visit Turn It Up Records and Hifi !!

I tend to stick with familiar artists when it comes to shopping for records, and whilst they are fantastic, it made listening to vinyls a bit dreary. Reading the little sticky notes on vinyls at your shop helped me venture out, and it was a delight. Thanks!
