So I had the pleasure of going this shelter because I needed help and it was great at first until one the people at the shelter started harassing me. I told the staff and they did nothing. So the same girl came back and kicked my luggage so I then i asked the supervisor to move her , instead they kicked me out and said they dont need me here. Like who really needs people in shelters. They ended up calling the Calgary police to remove me instead of trying to help me. I am so happy that I had witnesses there to see that I was being abused and bullied . So my question is where is the tax payers money going ? Please help me to figure this out, there's woman and men who really need help. these so call social workers and employees are taking the government money and pretending they are helping the people when they are not. So plz some body with real authority look into this. And why are the people in that are in the shelter waiting for assistance and not getting it. How are the people who really need it going to find housing when the Alberta support is not giving them money to find a place . All this dont make sense. I wonder If the government knows what going on?

This place was a life saver. Never in my wildest dreams, did i think i would ever end up homeless. In July 2011, i became homeless due to personal circumstances(Not drugs). I had no where to go, no money for food and was in a deep depression. The mustard seed offered me a place to stay, food to eat, and clothes to wear. I would forever be grateful to this place, and hope that kind people and organizations continue to support their cause. In November 2011, after 5 months at the seed, i moved to Edmonton, got a job that December and have my own apartment, a good paying job and married. Kudos to the employees at this place(shelter and admin office). I do not think they are given enough credit for the work they do. God bless you all. I will pay a visit someday, and hopefully, my story encourages people out there.
