Last week I posted the following review. I had removed it after speaking with the General Sales Manager as Subaru was going to address the issue. As it turns out they are not addressing the issue, it seems like it was just a way to have the review taken down. I recently purchased a new 2021 outback premier and must say that although I like the vehicle the overall process has left a sour taste in my mouth. Starting with the initial purchase, we had issues with the sales staff and felt that they were trying to pull a fast one on us with the price. We worked past this and made the purchase. I have now owned the vehicle for a couple of weeks; turned in my defrost for the first time today only to have the windshield crack right at the center in the bottom of the windshield. There was no pre-existing damage to the glass, leading me to suspect a potential defect in the glass itself. I reached out to my sales rep to see if anything could be done, check to see if there was a defect or a way to cover it under warranty given it was only days old, like had been done on my Mitsubishi. The rep just blew me off leading me to believe that there is no after sales support from Subaru. I would understand if it were not covered, had he said they would look to confirm it was not a defect but hay as not the case. All in I spent 55,000 on a new Subaru, including protection package, warranty and accessories, and was excited about the purchase. Now I am not sure I made the right decision.

my son turns 16 this year so I needed a new car so he can use my old 2009 lancer, i knew exactly the type of car I wanted I was looking at multiple different brands a used 2018 BMW 440 xdrive a used 2015 Mitsubishi lancer Evo X a new 2019 VW Golf R (yes they still have new 2019 ones available) and a new 2020 Subaru WRX STI. First I should mention I hate dealing with people always have always will. When I finally had decided on the STI i went out and searched on my own a specific one loaded with the big wing sport tech package and black in colour. I finally found it at Subaru Calgary even though I live 3 hours away. I then emailed the dealer with my request that I would purchase the specific vehicle, Matt was the salesman that had answered my email, he abided by all my requests without any sort of hesitation, I requested a good deal on the vehicle and I would pick it up after I returned from work as I work out of town. Dealing with matt and john in finance i had a surprisingly excellent experience, they absolutely did not push me into anything i did not want , we had a good understanding between each other that my mind was already set on certain goals and that i would not be purchasing certain extras for the vehicle. when i finally arrived to the dealer I was greeted by matt and john, they made me feel very welcomed to the dealer. Long story short, they treated me like a person, they offered me extra features and when I said no that was the end of the conversation there was no push from them, they were a pleasure to deal with and i would not hesitate to send anyone to them even if it meant driving a couple of hours.

Recently had major car problems and the service team and manager made sure to get me in right away and took care of everything for me efficiently and timely. Service department is excellent! No delays, very friendly staff that keeps you in the loop of everything going on with your vehicle, and very informative. They will always have my business. Will definitely come back and highly recommend to everyone.

I was contacted by Subaru Calgary because I had won a free oil change, inspection, and complimentary car wash. I was invited in, and was told there was shuttle service available as well. Upon dropping my car off in the morning, I had to wait about an hour for the shuttle to leave the dealership to get me home. Then the shuttle vehicle was completely full of customers, which in a global pandemic did not feel comforting. I received a call in the afternoon from the advisor, letting me know that my car had not yet been seen, but a shuttle driver should be able to pick me up between 4:30-5. The shuttle driver was very kind, but unfortunately was about an hour behind what I was told by the advisor. When we got back to the dealership, it was after 6 and all the advisors had left for the day, so I was left to decipher the inspection myself. Some additional work has been recommended, but I have no quote or details on the work they have suggested. And then I walk outside to see my dirty vehicle, clearly not cleaned (hopefully sanitized but who knows, the dealership hasn’t inspired confidence). And trash from the window sticker laying on the floor. And to top it off, the engine oil has been over filled by about 1L I would like to add that it was not any individual employee that made for a poor experience, it was the organization of the dealership as a whole. Not enough shuttle drivers, shuttles packed full of people in a global pandemic, and advisors that maybe have too much on their plate at once, and what seems like poor management. I’m very glad that this experience only cost me time, because if I had been a paying customer I would be deeply unsatisfied with the experience. UPDATE: I have sent an email to the address below, and have not had any response. The response from the owner is clearly just a stunt to make it seem like they want to clear things up.

He took his time making sure I was getting the right car for me. He went over all the options and I decided the perfect car was the OUTBACK LIMITED XT. I am extremely happy with my choice.
