Children of all ages and anyone who loves being in the water will love this place. Great for children in the 10-14 years age like mine. They absolutely adore this place. I wish we had one closer to our home. But it is worth the drive over. Not too bad anyways

This is one of the leisure centres owned by the city and opened in 1983 so this place is a bit worn out but there are so many activities to do here. Staff is always helpful and friendly. They have the wave pool, toddlers pool, water park, slides, steam room, hot tub. Liked the large steam rooms here and the wading pool is great for little ones. There is a cafe by the pool area accessible from the pool and outside. There is a climbing wall, skating rink, and party rooms you can rent here as well as all the gyms for sports from gymnastics to racquetball. There is also a pro shop for sporting goods. Not to mention general admission is only 29.35 for families. You can also purchase annual membership for 700.
Large pool with lots of entertainment for children! Waves included ;) prices are descent and they have cheap days on Thursdays I believe. They also have squash courts and a fitness centre although you pay for childcare when I went to ask. They also have venues for children birthdays. Attended one in 2019 and it was good. Although the room was rather dark, lighting was terrible. Just a recommendation to please put light bulbs in the room at the entrance. But I did like that you can bring the food and the cake and they take care of the rest! They had a big and fun inflatable castle .
This is just a review on the pool as my friends and I come here the most. As you can see: there's times when the main pool is still and times when it has decent waves; always fun! There's also a kiddy pool, water park, couple big slides, hot tub and sauna which is awesome. My one friend is in a wheelchair and the staff here have always been willing to help transfer him to their wheelchair so he can use the sauna - very helpful. 10 stars if we could! We have never had a bad experience :)
South land is an affordable recreation centre for my kids, they always beg to come here every weekend with there friends. We go as many time as we can as its nearby, inexpensive, and the facility is well maintained. We highly recommend Southland if you have a young family and want a great place to have fun
We recently rented the Bouncer room for my child's third birthday party. You get this giant fun inflatable for two whole hours perfect for very active preschoolers, and a long table to set up as you like and bring in your own food - all these in a modest-sized room that you'll have all to yourself and your guests. Rate is very reasonable and customer service has been great to deal with. Would highly recommend....and must book way early. They can fill up pretty fast, especially on weekends.
Took our little one here today and had a great time. We spent our hours here in the water park area, which is just a small part of what they offer. The slides are fun for all ages, with some being for the little ones only. The wave pool is a lot of fun, but after a 6-7 wave sessions you start to feel like it and your small child are teaming up to drown you. Food looked good, but we brought our own. Lockers all seem to need 25 and don't take locks you bring
The best wave pool in Calgary. They take safety seriously, but let you have fun. Multiple pools and slides, kids play area, and rope swings. My kids love it there. If the pool was just a few degrees warmer it would be 5 stars! Despite access to the hot tub and sauna you get cold pretty quick.
